Angle selection

(during playback only)

Selects a desired scene angle in a

multi-angle part.

1 Press ENTER to open the pull-down window.

2 Use 5/∞ to select a scene angle.

Example:

1/3 j 2/3 j 3/3

3 Press ENTER to begin playback with the

selected scene angle.

(See page 32 for details about angle selection.)

Time mode selection

Selects the time mode shown in

the display window on the front

panel and in the status bar.

Press ENTER to select the time mode among the

followings.

TIME REM TOTAL T.REM Return to

initial

• TIME: Current track elapsed time

• REM: Current track remaining time

• TOTAL: Disc elapsed time

• T.REM: Disc remaining time

• When you have selected "REM" and

the disc is stopped, you can change

the track by pressing

4 or ¢.

• While the disc is stopped, "REM"

shows the total time of the current

track, and "T.REM" shows the total

time of the disc.

Repeat mode

Selects the repeat mode.

1 Press ENTER to open the pull-down window.

2Use 5/∞ to select the repeat mode from the

following.

OFF j TRACK j ALL j A-B j OFF

• TRACK: Current track repeat

• ALL: All track repeat

• A-B: Repeats a desired part (A-B repeat)

3 Press ENTER to make the selected repeat

function active.

(See pages 28 and 29 for details about repeat

function.)

• If you select "OFF" during repeat

playback, the unit continues

playback without repeating.

• For information on subsequent

operations for A-B repeat, see page

29.

Time search

(Except during Video CD/SVCD

playback with PBC)

Specifies a time from the

beginning of the current title as

the point from which to begin

playback.

1 Press ENTER to open the pull-down window.

2 Use numeric buttons to enter a desired time.

3 Press ENTER to begin playback from the

specified time.

(See page 24 for details about the time search.)

• This function cannot be used

during program playback.

Program

(While stopped only)

Specifies the playback order of

tracks.

1 Press ENTER to bring up the program table.

2 Specify tracks in the desired order using the

numeric buttons.

3 Press 3 to start program playback.

(See page 26 for details about the program.)
